This privacy policy applies to the Flaia app (hereby referred to as "Application"), an AI-powered travel planning application developed by Ahmed Alghamdi (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a freemium service with optional premium features.

At Flaia, we believe great travel experiences start with trust. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information while helping you plan amazing trips.

Account Information

• Email address: Used to create and manage your account and provide support
• Name: Used to personalize your travel recommendations and experience
• Profile preferences: Travel style, interests, and preferences to improve recommendations
• Subscription status: To provide access to premium features

Travel Data & User-Generated Content

• Trip itineraries: The travel plans you create and save within the app
• Destination preferences: Your saved destinations and travel interests
• Travel history: Past trips and activities to improve future recommendations
• Reviews and ratings: Your feedback on destinations and activities
• Shared itineraries: Travel plans you choose to share publicly

Usage Information

• Your device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address)
• App interaction data: How you navigate and use features within the app
• Search queries: Destinations and activities you search for
• Session information: Time spent in the app and feature usage patterns
• The operating system you use on your mobile device
• Diagnostic data: App performance metrics and crash reports to improve stability

The Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device unless you explicitly grant location permissions for features like nearby recommendations.

Communication

The Service Provider may use the information you provided to contact you from time to time to provide you with important information, required notices, travel updates, and promotional content related to travel planning.

Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid the Service Provider in improving the Application and their service. The Service Provider may share your information with third parties in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.

Please note that the Application utilizes third-party services that have their own Privacy Policy about handling data. Below are the links to the Privacy Policy of the third-party service providers used by the Application:

• Google Play Services
• Google Analytics for Firebase
• Firebase Crashlytics
• Google AI/Gemini API

The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:

• as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process;
• when they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
• with their trusted services providers who work on their behalf, do not have an independent use of the information we disclose to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.

• We do not sell your personal information to anyone
• We do not share your private itineraries without your explicit consent
• We do not track your actual travel movements or location without permission
• We do not share your travel plans with third-party booking sites without your consent
• We do not use your data for advertising purposes outside of our own travel-related services

Flaia allows you to share your travel itineraries publicly if you choose to do so. When you share an itinerary:

• Your itinerary becomes publicly viewable through a shareable link
• Other users may view and use your itinerary as inspiration
• Your name may be displayed as the creator (you can choose to share anonymously)
• You can make shared itineraries private again at any time

You have full control over what you share and can revoke public access to your itineraries at any time.

You can delete your account and associated personal data directly within the Flaia app:

1. Go to "Settings" > "Account" > "Delete Account"
2. Follow the confirmation steps to permanently delete your account

When you delete your account:

• Your personal information (name, email, preferences) will be removed from our systems
• Your private itineraries and travel data will be permanently deleted
• Your publicly shared itineraries will be anonymized or removed based on your preference
• Your subscription will be canceled (though you may need to cancel through the app store separately)
• Deletion will be completed within 30 days

We may retain certain anonymized usage data after account deletion for analytics and service improvement purposes only.

You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.

You can also opt out of specific data collection:

• Location data: Disable location permissions in your device settings
• Analytics: Contact us to opt out of usage analytics
• Marketing communications: Unsubscribe through email links or app settings

The Service Provider will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. Travel itineraries and personal content will be deleted within 30 days of account termination.

If you'd like to request deletion of User Provided Data outside of the in-app account deletion process, please contact us at flaia.app@gmail.com and we will respond in a reasonable time.

Flaia operates globally to serve travelers worldwide. By using our app, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States, where our servers are located. These countries may have different data protection laws than your country.

Flaia stores certain information locally on your device to enable offline access to your saved itineraries and travel plans. This data is synchronized with our servers when your device reconnects to the internet. You can clear locally stored data by uninstalling the application.

The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. In the case the Service Provider discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, the Service Provider will immediately delete this from their servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact the Service Provider (flaia.app@gmail.com) so that they will be able to take the necessary actions.

The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Encryption of sensitive data in transit and at rest
• Secure data storage practices with regular backups
• Regular security reviews and updates
• Limited employee access to user data on a need-to-know basis
• Secure API connections for all third-party integrations

Depending on your location, you may have specific rights regarding your personal data:

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to the Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy and through the Application when appropriate. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
